Hi all,
I am looking to buy a home for the first time, this is an old Vitcorian terrace house in Leeds which apparently does not require any major work as it already has had work done to it. I have been advised nonetheless to run a: electric/roof/damp report on the house before signing on the dotted line.

I am looking for someone to inspect the roof but I am not sure what sore of inspection to go for. A company here in Leeds quoted me: £180+VAT for drone pictures 'so i can assess the state' or 230+VAT live stream and a flash drive or £500+ VAT for a surveyor report + drone live streaming and a flash drive inspection.

The first 2 options seem very strange; why would someone offer a service to take pictures of the roof for the buyer to assess their own images? Does not make sense to me is this normal?

Any advice much appreciated!

Regards

P
