I have noted from my local Redbridge newspaper that Havering Council is introducing 'additional' and' selective 'to take effect on 25 Jan 2021. I presume that the necessary consultation has been done. My concern is that it is not reasonable to introduce this at this time and at short notice: we now have heightened coronavirus rules and the holiday period will soon be upon us. The current increase in corona virus cases in Havering is around 50%.
Tradespeople are very wary about entering premises and tenants also are not happy to provide access.
Councils should act reasonably and either defer this scheme or provide more time.
Can NRLA make some representation?
