Hi, I wonder if you can advise. We have just received a complaint from the managing agency of a block of flat where we have a flat rented out through an agent. Apparently our tenant (who we have never met) is making noise through the night, smoking and causing nuisance in general. The neighbours are clearly unhappy.
His current AST (6 months) expires in less than a month. We were considering renewing it but under the circumstances could we make it go into a rolling contract instead, and give him 2 months notice to leave? When would the two months start, considering that the current AST expires on the 14th December?
Thank you for your advice
