I have a flat in a block of 50 on the 3rd floor in a 12year old purpose built block and the gas meter is in the parking area in the basement. Following a recent gas safety it picked up a leak in the pipe from the meter to the isolation valve in my flat. The quote to replace the pipe is £3,500 is this my problem or the freeholders or can I claim on the buildings insurance?
