Airey duo slab houses

Has anyone had to deal with an Airey Duo Slab house as mine needs work and it seems that even if I do remedial work the house will still need the exterior walls removing at great cost?
Has anyone contacted the mortgage company as it seems this type of house is potentially worthless under the period of a 25 year mortgage?
