Hi there,

I am a landlord of one property and have a fixed term tenancy agreement in place that's due to expire in June 2021. I am looking to sell my house, and another landlord from my network is interested in buying it and taking over the tenancy beyond June 2021.

How does this work as this is a change to the existing agreement?

Do I need to wait until June 2021 and then change the contract from me to the new landlord, or can I do this before June 2021?

I have already served a SECTION 21 notice to the tenants for them to leave the property in June 2021 but if another landlord takes over the tenancy, I assume it's straight forward to cancel this notice, as they would like to stay in the house if possible.
