A tenant on a periodic rolling tenancy has just given notice on the 30th December. His normal rental payment date is the 26th of the month. Thus he is obliged to pay his rent on the 26th January as his tenancy will officially finish on the 25th February. My question is, has the notice period changed for tenants giving notice during the Covid Pandemic? Are they still obliged to give you at least one months notice ending at the end of a monthly rental period?
