Each time I get a gas safe certificate the gas safe guys fill in N/A for the 4 boxes for checking the installation & condition of CO & smoke alarms. I've said I want these filled in fully but they say it's nothing to do with the gas safe inspection & they don't know why they are there. It seems bizarre that these boxes are on a gas safe certificate (being unrelated to gas - BTW there is no obligation for a CO alarm for a gas boiler), and also that the gas safe engineers don't know why they are there.

- why are these boxes there?
- are my gas safe guys correct in saying they don't need to fill these in & they don't know why they are there or do they have an obligation for this?
- if they do then can you send me a link to confirm this so I can take it up with them.
