Hi - My tenants are paying me full rent but I had to move abroad for business reasons and just realised after 6 months that I may need to ask for a NRL1i as now a non-resident landlord?. As they were paying full rent, what will happen to them and me? I don't understand this rule as easier to deal directly with the landlord for HMRC rather than tenants. Can't I deal with that directly with HMRC without involved them at all?
