Hello, my client purchased the long leasehold of a garden flat in a 5 story terraced building. Recently part of the ceiling in the reception room collapsed. I am seeking confirmation on whether the building insurance (included in the service charge) covers this damage or whether my client should have had his own separate building insurance to cover the ceiling of his property? Any advise is welcome!
