I started a tenancy deposit at the start of February and am claiming the full deposit of %C2£550 against rent arrears of over %C2£4,000, I will be claiming the rest through MCOL. I have just been onto the DPS website and they say that, as I have the tenants new address, I have to send them a letter asking them to respond to my request for the full deposit to be returned to me. is there a wording for this letter that someone has used?
Then when and if there is no reply in a fortnight I have to do a statutory declaration. Any ideas how to do this under Covid (I am shielding due to COPD).
Stay safe. Thank you.
