Hi, after carrying out a property check out, I returned to the property a few days later to carry out some maintenance works in the garden, only to discover that the tenants had not cleaned up after their dog whilst at the property and found dog poo in several locations across the lawn. I was aware that they had one dog when they first moved in and they said they would keep the property clean and tidy if they could have the tenancy. As yet I haven't released the deposit as they still have some items to collect from.
Also whilst cleaning it became evident that the floors hadn't been cleaned because of the dog hair that was mopped up.
As I didn't pick these items up on the check out can I still raise this with them and want would be suitable deposit reductions?
