Do I need to reprotect a deposit when tenancy renews with no changes

I am renewing a tenancy for 6 months for a tenant who has been in residence for over a year. Do I need to renew the deposit protection? There is no change to the tenancy (including rent) other than a new end date.
The deposit is protected using the TDS Insured protection.
