I am undertaking a fire risk assessment for one of my properties. The quotes from contractors for work consisting of a fire proof meter cupboard in the porch and additional protection with a fire proof strip at the edge of an existing fireproof door are very high. Please advise what would be a reasonable amount to pay for this work.
