My tenants (4 joint) have asked if family members from overseas can stay with them for an extended period (approx 4 months). I dont have an issue with that in principle, but they want me to write a letter confirming they can stay, presumeably for Home Office checks. Is there anything I need to do in terms of the Assured Shorthold Tenancy and permitted residents, and have you any suggested wording for the letter?
