I have a lodger in a caravan on my farm land. She hasn't paid her rent of £250 for the last 4 months, although she is in receipt of sufficient income from social benefits. I have given her several weeks notice to leave on the 18th of June, which she agreed to. But now she refuses to, claiming that she has no where to go and that I have no right to ask her to leave. I have told her that I'll have no choice but to stop supplying water and electricity for free, which is what she expects me to do. She is hysterical, whilst accusing me to shoot at her and is using optional blackmail and threatening me to call the police and complain about me to the citizens advice bureau. This is what she posted on Facebook:
"Hi guys I need urgent advice. My tenancy ended yesterday. I've had the landlord here just now shouting and threatening to turn off water and electric. I haven't found anywhere else to go yet. I need to know my rights. Can he kick me out onto the streets can he turn off the water and electricity? Honestly so stressed and upset right now😭"
And her friends are insulting me without knowing me or the truth of the matter, and advising her that she is within her right to stay on my land for free at my expense and they tell her to call the police!
