Hi, I had a tenancy agreement with a gentleman who lived with his partner and children in the property. He has subsequently left her there with the children and she wants the agreement going in her name.

There is no issue with this (she is a good tenant), however the Deposit is held by the DPS scheme and I am assuming I need to change the tenancy into her name and reissue the deposit certificate (the old tenant is happy for her to have this deposit in her name).

How do I go about this ? I want to make sure that all the documentation I give to her is legal and valid but I don't think issuing her with the certificate in her ex partner's name will cover me legally should anything happen?

Can you please advise me on what I need to do ?

Many thanks
