Court of Appeal judgement on 'rent to rent' rent repayment

The Court of Appeal rules that in a rent to rent setting - the superior landlord cannot be asked to repay any rent paid to their tenant (ie the rent to rent landlord).

I think, the ruling has further implications (as the landlord has been ruled not to be liable) on the rent to rent settings. I am going to study it further.
