I have a tenant who was found and referenced by a letting agent but I manage the property myself. The tenancy agreement was for 6 months and has now reverted to a monthly agreement. The tenant would now like his partner to live with him in the property and they want to be on the tenancy agreement. I assume that I would need to draw up a new agreement for 6 months with both parties named. What do I need to do to ensure that I protect myself as I only have my existing tenant to vouch for the new person.
