I would like to ask all what they consider an attractive annual return on a Buy to Let residential property investment based on the properties cost or present value. Having looked at some stats they seem to vary greatly in different parts of the country. London and the South East seems comparatively low compared to some northerly regions. I understand this is primarily due to the the much higher property values in London and the South East. Down in these areas it would seem to be doing well getting a 4% return, but supposedly up in the North where property prices are far cheaper you can get much higher returns. You see a lot of ads for inner city apartment investments saying you receive over 10%, but are these gross figures and ignore the usually high monthy service charges etc. I would consider a 6% net return attractive - but I would like other opinions....
thanks
