I have a rental property which I purchased new in 2018 with 100 percent cash. I have applied to release equity in order to invest into an additional property. The lender asked for a copy of the fire safety risk assessment, however the property management company refuses to share the documentation, stating that it is a live document subject to continuous change. The lender is not willing to progress any further until they see the documentation. I was wondering if anyone has encountered this situation in the past and how they overcame it?
