Late Rental payment by Agent

This the first year we've used a Professional Letting Agent for our student house in Exeter. The students have paid the rent due but the Agent says the delay since the 2 September in our getting the rental monies owed is down to the restrictions placed by the bank on the daily payments allowed from his account. We feel it a very worrying and unsatisfactory start to the relationship. We've been fobbed off a few times but keep being told 'rest assured it will be with us shortly'. What if any advice can you give us please?
