I'm finally celebrating regaining possession of a property after a protracted legal process.

The tenant has gone but left all their furniture behind. The bailiffs said that I am responsible for the tenants possessions from now on. They also said the tenant has seven days to collect them and can only make one visit during that time to collect their possessions.

I told the tenant I would also be available this afternoon to allow some small items to be taken. I waited, but no tenant. So I'm not expecting the tenant to be much use when it comes to the main visit to remove everything (tomorrow).

So where does my responsibility end? Do I have to take any particular steps after the seven days or can I just get a skip on day eight?

And am I required to spend money, for example for electricity to keep the tenant's freezer running to preserve their frozen food?
