Hello all

I need some advice. I had a flat on the market and the letting agents found a tenant very quickly who was very interested and paid a deposit as soon as I accepted their offer. However, it had been more than a month now and it is getting very close when my current tenant moves out (18/09). The agents said in the beginning that there is nothing to worry about as it there was plenty of time before they are moving in. However, this morning they said that the tenants broke up and wish to pull out.

Can I look for some compensation from the letting agents as it is very likely there will be a void period. Am I entitled to the holding deposit (it sits with the agents at present).

Thanks in advance
