I am extremely concerned about the government push for zero carbon and the financial and practical burdens this will force on landlords. In particular the drive to push everyone to level C EPC ratings This could cost me over £20k for some properties and also lead to damp/rot problems by insulating stone that needs to 'breathe') and then the drive to replace gas boilers with expensive and inefficient heat pumps. I think it's about time the NRLA encouraged each of it's members to write to their MPs. My tax bill has already increased by 100% because of the changes to mortgage interest allowances. Is there a standard letter you can encourage us all to write ?
