Its been published in The Times [ 3/12/22] that nearly 90 thousand citizens of Hong Kong have now applied for the British National [Overseas] Visa scheme to be able to live & work in the UK. The scheme offers a sure pathway to permanent British citizenship. This is the largest ever exodus & follows on from many former citizens already having settled here.
In tandem to this situation, the number of students dropping out of secondary school has risen by 65 per cent. The majority emigrating with their families to escape draconian national security laws. Schools in 20/21 lost 4,460 students, a further 60 per cent report they are leaving HK.

Those HK's successful in their endeavours, will need somewhere to rent, or to buy.....
Last year I brought a key-turn [ provided with e/thing but IT gear] property to the market. In the 1st hour it achieved its asking price. 34 enquiries/14 viewings later the inner- city property achieved £30k over that asking price. All but one hot bidder was based in HK.
There is a lucrative business for the bi-lingual Agents to secure accommodation acting a a go- between, having a legal team ready to sort documentation.....a well- oiled machine was what I witnessed.... so no time was wasted.
