Funding for renters, justice for landlords – in conversation with NRLA chief executive, Ben Beadle

Ben Beadle, chief executive of the NRLA, has been at the forefront of lobbying the UK Government during the coronavirus crisis. He will be in conversation with Susan Bryer, NRLA South East Representative, to talk about how the organisation has responded to the emergency measures implemented by the Government; his experience of working with Ministers, officials, and the judiciary during an unpredictable period; and why it’s essential that individual landlords make their voices heard.

The Government’s recent last-minute decision to extend the stay on possession proceedings dismayed landlords. It’s vital that the courts do reopen on 21st September, and that the Government ensures that those landlords and tenants who have faced arrears as a result of coronavirus and through no fault of their own are directly supported.
