NRLA / Landlord Action Webinar | Possession: Ask the experts
This webinar was filmed on the 01/07/2020. In case you missed it or would like to listen again, we have prepared a recording for you to watch below.
Join us to 'ask the experts' your questions on possession as it currently stands, what it may look like from the autumn, and how landlords can make their voices heard to Government, in a joint webinar from the NRLA and Landlord Action.
Our panel includes:
- Ben Beadle, NRLA Chief Executive
- Paul Shamplina, founder of Landlord Action and brand ambassador for Hamilton Fraser
- Vanessa Warwick, landlord and co-founder of Property Tribes.
The courts remain closed until at least 23 August. Once they reopen, there is a risk they will be overwhelmed by the backlog of five months' of possession cases. The NRLA is sitting on a judicial working group looking at how the courts should reopen, and is pushing for there to be a prioritisation of cases, including where landlords had been granted possession prior to the coronavirus restrictions, incidences of antisocial behaviour, and serious rent arrears building before lockdown, as well maintaining the option to use Section 21.
