Although the sales market has slowed across the UK, in parts of London it remains quite active.  Meanwhile Rightmove tells us that 25 applicants are seeking every property that is to let.  How are these markets fairing and what developments do we expect in 2024.

The government has conceded that court reform is necessary before section 21 will be abolished.  This includes digitisation of the whole possession process, improved recruitment and retention of bailiffs and more mediation to avoid the need for court hearings.  With court proceedings averaging around 6 months at the moment, how feasible are the government's proposals and will the process ever be modernised and speeded up?   Richard will ask Tim for his views and get a feel for what is happening in the courts at the moment, including some tips on how to give yourself the best chance of success should you end up there.
