I have a large family home that is currently being rented out to a single family through an estate agents. What are the terms and conditions for living in the house as a landlady and renting out rooms individually? Would I need an HMO license and would a mortgage company give me a mortgage on this basis? It is currently on a BTL mortgage which I'm guessing is conditional on my not living there.
