Hi there,

Wondering if I could advertise and rent my property that appears to HMO compliant before I get a license? There's currently a backlog in the borough and they are likely to take their time.

I have 3 rooms available all meeting the criteria for HMO government standards and fire safety standards.

I have paid my fee towards the application but because the borough is likely to take several months I was thinking if this would be possible - from a legal perspective to get tenants in?

Please let me know
