Fees for cancelling management contract

Letting Agents

Due to being furloughed from my work I can no longer afford to pay for a full management service from my letting agents.

They are saying that if they change the level of service then fees are still due on all levels. So if I were to drop to a tenant find service only the fee would be 9% + vat which would be payable 12 months in advance based against the current rent. This would total £972 + vat.

I was certainly not aware of such a draconian termination fee and have asked for a copy of the agreement but would meanwhile appreciate your advice on this matter.
