Hello,

I have an HMO student let in LBH&F (London) for which the license is granted but is still pending a final inspection. I have been told that two of my bedrooms could be let to 2 people sharing, but that one of my bedrooms can no longer be let because it is fractionally too small. I am concerned that it will not be possible to rent to room sharers at this time due to distancing, which means that I could potentially be one room/renter down which would result in a loss of £7,800 over 12 months.

Does anyone know if HMO rules have been changed due to Covid? For instance, Imperial College halls of residence are no longer letting shared rooms for the academic year 20/21, it will only be single occupancy. I haven't found anything on this online, so if anyone has any information on this it would be much appreciated. Thanks so much in anticipation.
