Hi,

My student houses run on the normal AST system, letting to 4 students jointly and severally. I am aware that at the end of the rental, I do not have a formal, legally competent system for confirming that they will vacate the property on the last day of the tenancy.

Is the solution for all 4 tenants to sign a letter confirming the end of the tenancy? ie giving notice. Or is there a neater solution, please?

I did look on the website - apologies if I missed an already existing article, but i could not see one.
