Just had an Adjudication gone against me by the TDS. My first ever deposit dispute.
Tenant left SEVEN months early into a 12 month contract. I did not agree to her leaving.
Left on the 15 June and only paid up to the 13 June. NOT ONE PENNY GIVEN BACK TO ME!!!!
Rent is accruing at £18.08 per day from the 14 June and the TDS adjudicator has given the deposit back to the tenant.
What is the point of having an RLA contract then??
What is the point in taking a deposit??
Another huge cost to me - with tenant arrears when you even take them to Court they do not pay. My little business is now owed over £15k in unpaid rent. A complete joke of a system!!
