I have a similar issue what many are facing at the moment and just need some advise. I have a family staying in a property who pay me £1750 rent. Only when it came to the rent collection date (22/08 this month) they called me to let me know they will be short on rent in which they only transferred £1500. I am concerned as I have a high mortgage payment coming out for that property and want to prepare for any issues further down the line.

If anyone can kindly give me some options which I can take, for example checking proof of their deducted hours and work etc. Also at worst chase scenario if they do not end up paying me the full amount from this point on what I can do. Please keep in mind they have been renting my house for a few years now and the AST agreement currently in place has gone past it's 6 month break clause.

Thank you all in advance and I look forward to hearing from your responses.

Kind regards,

Leann
