Current Tenant - New Tenancy

Hello,

I have a tenant whom has been with me since last October (2019)
She has just informed me that she is splitting up with her boyfriend and he is moving out (Both are named on the current tenancy agreement)
Do I have to issue a new tenancy agreement and go through the new tenancy checklist etc
OR
Can I simply amend the current tenancy agreement to remove the boyfriends name?
