I have a tenant who is now 8+ months in rent arrears. They were in arrears prior to Covid lockdown and I had a court order for repossession prior to Covid lockdown, and a Bailiff appointment was in place (due for the week after lockdown). This tenant has a job, but is wilfully not paying his rent. They are protected by the government's blanket approach to banning evictions, whereas I am losing £1000s and I want to sell the property, but can't.

Is there anything I can do?

I know you are lobbying the government about certain categories of tenant (e.g. the with antisocial behaviour), but please don't forget to mention the type of tenant mentioned above.

Thank you.
