Hi Just wonder if you can help. I have a tenant who is now 2 months in arrears. A fixed term Guarantors deed was witnessed and signed and we are still in the initial rental period, so therefore as far as I aware the Guarantors liability stands without any issues.

My query is what is the process as I've never needed to claim against the guarantor previously

  • Do I need to give tenant notice that I'm approaching the guarantor
  • Does it need to be in writing in a certain time scale etc
  • Are there specific forms templates etc ??

Any help or pointers would be appreciated
