The tenant vacated (without providing notice) 4 months before the 6-month fixed term tenancy was due to end, but has since (by text message 2weeks after vacating) advised that he has left the property, so does this mean the tenancy formally ended (even though it was apparently surrendered without my agreement) when I received this text? If so, must I therefore accept this date as ‘end of tenancy’ when I complete the claim on the TDS?
