Hi, I have just tried to order electric cards from my supplier of the past 40 years, the cards are for electric card meters I have installed in an HMO I own, I was informed that these meters are being phased out and they advised me to buy new meters or if I wanted to continue with the present meters I would have to order ten years supply by December, the problem is I have nine meters in the HMO and the new meters are costly to replace as they appear to be for single properties, my intention was to remove the meters and include the cost in an increase in the rent but I am finding that electricians are reluctant to carry out work at an HMO, I am 76 years young so you can understand the problem I have, can anyone let me know where I stand legally with my card supplier?
