I am a little perplexed to receive an email this morning from the NRLA telling me to swap Letting agency to them and save money.

I am a Letting Agent and have been a member of the NLA and the RLA for 12 years. (I also note that I have not received any refund from either agency when they merged to form one agency).

Apparently the NRLA are on a mission to shake up the Property Management market!

I have spent a lot of time and money in constantly improving the service that I provide to both tenants and Landlords, I have leapt through hoops in order to comply with the constantly changing legislation. I do not charge hidden mark-ups, I am open, honest and hard working. Why am I having to defend myself to the agency that is supposed to be on my side? As it is the phrase 'Letting Agent' is seen as a derogatory term by many without the professional agency that I have paid into for years making sweeping derogatory statements about me.

Am I completely missing the point or has the NEW NRLA forgotten who their customers are?
