Besides the government it seems even the NRLA undervalues landlords. Here is a recent request by the NRLA:

'We are looking for 20 landlord members to ask them some detailed questions by telephone about how they manage their properties.

We need to 2-3 hours of their time in November, for which they will be given a £25 Amazon voucher by way of thanks.

All information will be confidential to the NRLA and will be anonymised before being used in any internal reports.

If you are a member and own and let between 2 and 6 properties, and you would like to take part, then please email [email protected] by Friday 20th November.'

So Landlords should perhaps give up because even the NRLA thinks the national minimum wage rate of £8.72 per hour is sufficient remuneration for their time.
