I have 9 properties that are subject to service charges that were quite low so I just paid them. They have all now increased significantly so I want to pass these on to the tenants. I know I have to be careful with the fee ban but is there no way I can pass these charges on other than as a simple rent increase as I want to deflect complaints and demonstrate the reasons for the cost increase? Also is there a limit to this cost increase I can charge as the costs would represent 15% plus on some properties of the current rent charged?
