I have a flat in a conversion building. There are 3 flats. The water tanks for the flats are in the loft above the upper floor flat and access to the loft is through this flat. There is a leak from one of the tanks affecting the upper flat and the landlord contracted a plumber to turn off the water supply to my tenants flat but did not fix the leak. She will not now give access for my plumber to check to see if it is our tank. It is New Years Eve and my tenant has no water. What has been done is illegal so I believe I am within my rights to break in through the upstairs flat to restore the water supply, is that correct?
