Hello,
I have a EICR made on 12 Feb 2018. It is SATISFACTORY with 2 observations C3. One of these C3 is ticked "further investigation required - Yes".
On the first page of EICR, section F "recommendations", electrician has put a date after the legal text like so "... recommend that the installation is further inspected and tested by: 12 Feb 2021"
This makes the period between 2 EICR a 3 years period instead of 5 years.
My question is: Does this date override the legal deadline of 5 years or is it just a recommendation as the title of section F suggests. If it is only a recommendation, what is the point to have a date mentioned there?
What does the law say please?
