No where have we encountered such requirement over the past two decades regarding the following abstract....
"Where the landlord is a company, does i) a Section 8 Notice and ii) the deposit prescribed information confirmation certificate have to be signed in accordance with section 44 of the Companies Act 2006 (so signed either by two directors or a director and company secretary). The outcome has much wider significance. We%E2%80%99ve seen previous county court cases on both issues".
We cannot even decipher what exactly this refers to regarding the signatures of two directors or one director AND a witness on "deposit prescribed information confirmation certificate" whatever that may be apart from a Deposit Protection Certificate where there certainly in NOT any section for a Witness. Please provide an email address so that we can send a copy of the legal article in question. Brian Howe
