Tenant on UC abandoned property during fixed term

A tenant on Universal Credit appears to have abandoned the property during the fixed term of the tenancy.

The tenant is into his 3rd month of a 6 months AST. I only just found out as the rent was not paid on the date he should have received his UC payment.

I emailed UC47 to the DWP.

Will UC continue to pay (directly to me assuming they approve the UC47) for as long as the tenant is liable under the fixed term?
