Hello,

I have just joined NRLA and would like to pick some of the member's brains, if I may?

I am currently a landlord of a single property and am looking to expand my portfolio, if possible.

The issue I am having is how to raise the initial deposit without taking on personal debt (which obviously impacts the affordability bit of lender criteria).

How have people managed to get around this? I want to avoid getting an advance from the equity in my current property?

Sorry if this is a bit of a "newbie" question. :)
