Our local authority will be introducing an additional licensing scheme for HMOs with effect from 1 April 2021. One of my rooms, which I have let out satisfactorily for several years to students with limited storage needs, is below the 6.51m2 minimum size, so it won't be lettable under the licence. Once the new scheme has been introduced, what is going to be the situation regarding:
1. The existing tenant until September 2021
2. Any new tenant who signed an agreement for the academic year 2021-2 before the start of the scheme?
